The Process
Beginning with a small seed in a controlled environment, our innovative growing technique replicates the natural conditions in which diamonds develop beneath the Earth’s crust.
Using either the Carbon Vapour Deposition (CVD) or High-Pressure High Temperature (HPHT) processes, our diamond seed slowly grows into a pure rough diamond.
Our unique use of plasma in the growing process along with precise cutting and polishing procedures ensure that the majority of Valour lab grown diamonds are Ideal/Excellent cuts in the Type IIa category.
Education
Toronto’s own Valour lab grown diamonds are produced using one of the two diamond creation processes – either extreme pressure and heat or a special deposition process using plasma. The process mimics the earth’s method of forming diamonds by using small carbon seeds in a highly controlled environment, in which the rough diamond can grow. These rough diamonds are then cut and polished in the same way as mined diamonds and finally set into beautifully crafted Valour jewellery collections.
